50Hertz Transmission is one of Germany's four transmission system operators, responsible for the secure operation, maintenance, planning, and expansion of the extra-high voltage electricity grid in the northern and eastern regions of the country. The company manages approximately 10,600 kilometers of grid infrastructure, serving around 18 million people. It plays a critical role in the national energy transition by integrating large-scale renewable energy sources and aims to securely integrate 100 percent renewable energies into its grid by 2032.
