Their Kiel team is seeking a Software Development &amp; Test Engineer to join an agile team building and securing the quality of marine communications software.</p><p><br/></p><p>This role sits at the intersection of development and test — you will write code and own the test strategy, acting as the quality expert within the squad and ensuring every release meets the rigorous standards required for mission-critical communications systems.</p><p><br/></p><p>The Role:</p><ul><li>Work within an agile team on marine communications software, making quality standards tangible across the development lifecycle</li><li>Act as the test expert; verify team deliverables using appropriate testing methods and techniques</li><li>Create, maintain, and execute unit tests to ensure ongoing code quality</li><li>Develop both automated and manual tests to secure release cycles; work in close collaboration with the wider test team</li><li>Contribute to software development tasks in C++ and Python alongside test activities</li></ul><p><br/></p><p>Essential Requirements:</p><ul><li>Degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Information Engineering, or comparable qualification</li><li>Prior experience in software testing, including hands-on unit test authoring</li><li>Solid, demonstrable knowledge of both Python and C++</li><li>Experience with version control — GitLab or GitHub preferred</li><li>Good working knowledge of Scrum and agile methodologies</li><li>Good German AND English, written and spoken (C1+)</li></ul><p><br/></p><p>The Details:</p><ul><li>Location: Kiel (60% remote)</li><li>Contract term: 24 months</li><li>Salary: up to €100,000 p.a. gross</li><li>Start: ASAP</li><li>Contract: AUG</li></ul><p><br/></p> </div>
