Their platform manages the tracking, calculation, and distribution of rights across Germany's music and media landscape at scale. The engineering function is central to the business, not a support function.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>You will join a team of twelve engineers working under an experienced Group Lead. The team operates a structured Scrum environment with daily stand-ups, regular ceremonies, and a dedicated weekly Dev Day allocated to technical exploration, learning, and innovation. The work is architecturally interesting, the domain is complex, and the culture is mature.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture</li><li>Build and maintain REST APIs with a focus on performance and reliability</li><li>Work closely with colleagues across engineering, product, and the wider business</li><li>Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum five years of professional Java backend development experience</li><li>Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture — both are mandatory</li><li>Strong command of REST architecture and database design beyond basic SQL</li><li>Agile mindset with experience working in Scrum teams</li><li>German language proficiency at C1 level strongly preferred.
