It's an engineering-first role where you'll build scalable systems while helping integrate modern AI capabilities into a mature, production-grade platform.</p><p><br/></p><p>They're looking for someone who combines excellent software engineering fundamentals with genuine curiosity about how AI systems operate in real-world environments. You'll work with modern AI tooling daily, helping improve both developer productivity and new features to the product itself, while remaining grounded in strong engineering principles.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using <strong>Python</strong> and <strong>SQL</strong></li><li>Develop reliable services that process large-scale datasets across distributed environments</li><li>Debug and optimise complex production systems throughout the full software development lifecycle</li><li>Design clean, maintainable, and well-tested software architecture capable of supporting long-term product growth</li><li>Build APIs and services that integrate seamlessly with modern AI capabilities and enterprise workflows</li><li>Work with cloud-native technologies, deployment pipelines, and CI/CD practices</li><li>Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and backend engineers to deliver new platform capabilities</li><li>Contribute to technical discussions, architectural decisions, and engineering best practices across the team</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>AI &amp; Modern Engineering</strong></p><p>One of the most exciting aspects of this role is the opportunity to work with modern AI systems in production.</p><p><br/></p><p>The engineering team is increasingly developing intelligent workflows powered by large language models and agentic architectures.
