Graduate Data Analyst

JHC Consulting is seeking a Graduate Data Analyst to support a significant advisory mandate involving a major Austrian financial infrastructure provider. This position centers on the rigorous translation of data into written argument. As a member of our remote practice, you will assist in providing the objective analysis necessary for board-level decisions where internal corporate narratives require independent scrutiny. This is a role for an individual who values the discipline of the written word and the clarity of logical deduction.

The Role
In this position, you will work closely with our principals to analyze complex data sets and internal documentation. Your work will form the backbone of the memoranda we produce for our clients. Rather than creating presentations, you will conduct the underlying research and drafting that ensures every claim we make is supported by evidence.

Reviewing and cleaning financial and operational data provided by the Austrian partner.

Extracting key trends and identifying gaps in internal reports.

Drafting concise analytical sections for our formal memoranda.

Verifying the logic and assumptions behind complex corporate claims.

Synthesizing quantitative findings with qualitative research.

Developing clear tables and figures to support written arguments.

Participating in the successive revision of documents to ensure absolute precision.

Maintaining thorough documentation of all data sources and methodologies used.

What You Bring
We are looking for individuals who have recently completed their studies and demonstrate a high level of intellectual maturity. Writing ability is as important as numerical proficiency in this role. You must be comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule in a remote environment.

A university degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

The ability to follow an argument to its logical conclusion.

A cautious and skeptical approach to raw data.

Proficiency with standard analytical tools and software.

An interest in the mechanics of corporate governance and strategy.

Willingness to accept and apply rigorous feedback on your writing and analysis.

The discipline to work steadily without the need for constant supervision.

How We Work
Our firm operates on a single author model. We believe that when one person is responsible for a document from inception to completion, the thinking is clearer and the accountability is higher. We do not participate in typical consulting ceremonies or produce slide decks. The work is the document itself. We take the time required to get the analysis right, which often means multiple rounds of internal scrutiny before a memorandum ever reaches the client.

Working at JHC Consulting
This is a permanent, full-time position that is entirely remote. Our firm is small and deliberate by design, valuing the quality of thought over the volume of clients. We provide a workspace focused on autonomy and individual responsibility. This role is paid, and the compensation is both attractive and competitive for the graduate market. You will have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of high-level advisory work while contributing to mandates that have lasting consequences for major organizations.
At JHC Consulting, every piece of work ends with a signature. This reflects our belief that the author must stand behind their analysis. As a Graduate Data Analyst, your contributions will be subject to thorough reading and critique by experienced principals. This environment is suited for those who find satisfaction in the quiet work of analysis and the pursuit of a well-defended conclusion. We expect our analysts to take ownership of their findings and to be prepared to defend their logic under pressure.
