Our strength: We combine<strong> data-based research</strong>, <strong>state-of-the-art technologies, continuous innovation and customized</strong> services.<br/><br/><strong>What you do with us: </strong> As a Data Engineer, you are mainly responsible for extracting and processing information from text documents and images (partly AI-supported). Furthermore, you develop, maintain, and automatize crawlers to access various data sources from the web.<br/><br/><strong>Your fields of work in detail:<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Text mining & information extraction: Improve existing and further develop data extraction scripts and processes from documents (mostly PDF´s consisting of plain text, tables and diagrams), including text recognition (OCR), AI-supported natural language processing (NLP) and rule-based information extraction.</li><li>Data enhancement: Development of rulesets and algorithms to complete incomplete data sets through rule-based filling of data gaps or secondary data integration.</li><li>Image Recognition: Application of computer vision methods to extract information from document images and photos. </li><li>Pipeline management: Scalable data processing with Kubernetes, Docker and API-supported data queries. </li><li>Data Visualization & Integration: Provision of APIs, definition of data filters and display rules for our web application ImmAzing®.</li><li>Support & Quality Assurance: Monitoring of control mechanisms and quality assurance, first point of contact for maintenance and bug fixing in your area. <br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Your profile: </strong> <strong>Profound Experience (Expert level) in <br/><br/></strong><ul><li>querying, processing and analyzing data with Python and R</li><li>usage of relational databases (PostgreSQL)</li><li>text mining and NLP (nltk, SpaCy, RegEx, LLM Calls and Prompt Engineering) </li><li>web data crawling (Selenium, playwright) </li><li>image processing (Computer vision)</li><li>use of OCR-Tools (e.g. Tesseract and/or GoogleOCR)<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Initial Experience in<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD</li><li>data warehousing and orchestration (dagster)</li><li>API Development (FastAPI, Swagger, uvicorn)</li><li>or are interested in continuing your education in these areas. </li><li>Ideally have basic knowledge of web development with JavaScript / React / TypeScript (not a must, but a plus!)</li><li>Show interest in real estate valuation, data science and artificial intelligence. </li><li>enjoy delving deep into complex topics and thinking “outside the box”.</li><li>Have completed or are about to complete a degree in data science, computer science or software engineering (or a related field). </li><li>Like to work independently, think in a solution-oriented way and are a team player</li><li>Have a very good linguistic proficiency in German and English and a hands-on mentality<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>What we offer you: <br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Innovative team: Profound onboarding, cutting-edge technologies and respectful cooperation. </li><li>Top locations: Familiar atmosphere in Salzburg's Neustadt district or a modern office with roof terrace in Vienna's 7th district. </li><li>Flexibility: 1-2 days home office per week and flexible working hours within our flexitime scheme. </li><li>Additional offers: Regular team events, company lunch and more. </li><li>Attractive remuneration: Above-average salary based on the IT collective agreement - overpayment depending on experience and education<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Interested?<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Remuneration will be in accordance with the IT collective agreement, currently at a minimum of EUR 3.267,- gross, full-time basis.
