This is a fixed-term position until December 30, 2027, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the transformation of energy networks through data-driven solutions. As a Data Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing innovative data integration, analytics, and digital applications that enhance the efficiency and reliability of our energy infrastructure. Your role will involve designing and maintaining complex data pipelines, harmonizing data from diverse sources, and supporting the deployment of cloud-based and on-premise data systems. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will help shape the future of energy networks by enabling smarter decision-making and operational excellence.<br/><br/><strong>Qualifications<br/><br/></strong>The ideal candidate will possess a solid educational background in computer science, information technology, or a related field, complemented by relevant professional experience. Proficiency in modern data technologies such as MS Power BI, Databricks, Python, SQL, and Git is essential. Experience with ETL processes, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or similar) is highly desirable. You should have a strong analytical mindset with the ability to conceptualize complex data structures and develop scalable data models. Excellent communication skills in German and English (C1 level) are required to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders. A structured, process-oriented working style combined with proactive problem-solving capabilities will enable you to succeed in this role.<br/><br/><strong>Responsibilities<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Design, develop, and optimize data integration workflows and data flows, ensuring seamless connectivity between various systems and platforms.</li><li>Consolidate and harmonize data from operational systems such as network management, measurement data, geoinformation, and asset management to support analytical and operational needs.</li><li>Develop, implement, and operate ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading, with a focus on Power BI integration for reporting purposes.</li><li>Analyze and model data from multiple sources, creating scalable and robust data models that facilitate advanced analytics and insights.</li><li>Assist in building and maintaining cloud and database infrastructures, including configuration, monitoring, and interface development.</li><li>Prepare data sets tailored for specific use cases, enabling their deployment in digital network processes, analytical models, and operational applications.</li><li>Create modern reporting and analytical solutions, primarily utilizing Power BI, to ensure reliable and continuous data availability for business units.</li><li>Collaborate with business and technical teams to analyze requirements, develop IT concepts, and oversee the implementation of data architecture and system solutions.<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Benefits<br/><br/></strong>At Avacon Netz GmbH, we prioritize the well-being and development of our employees.
