<strong>System Engineer – Smart System</strong> to define and own the logical system architecture and connected features of VIIALA’s speedpedelec platform.</p><p>This role is responsible for how all smart components interact — including HMI, connectivity, sensors, and external devices — ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.</p><p>You will define system behavior at a functional level, translate use cases into system requirements, and ensure alignment between hardware, software, and digital components.</p><p>This is not a software implementation role — it is about <strong>defining how the system works holistically from a functional and architectural perspective</strong>.</p><p><br/></p><p>Key responsiblities</p><p> </p><p>Smart system ownership</p><ul><li>Own the Smart System, including:</li><li>HMI (display, controls, interaction concepts)</li><li>Connectivity (IoT module, Vehicle-to-X, external devices)</li><li>Peripheral integration (e.g. helmet, sensors, accessories)</li><li>Define system scope and ensure alignment with overall product vision</li></ul><p><br/></p><p>System Architecture & Defintion </p><ul><li>Develop and drive the Smart System architecture to final definition</li><li>Define:</li><li>System states and transitions</li><li>Use cases and functional behavior</li><li>Service landscape and system interactions</li><li>Ensure consistency across all smart features and components</li></ul><p><br/></p><p>HMI & User Interaction </p><ul><li>Define HMI concepts in collaboration with design and digital teams</li><li>Lead evaluation and selection of HMI solutions (off-the-shelf vs custom)</li><li>Ensure usability, clarity, and consistency of user interaction</li></ul><p><br/></p><p>Connectivity & Integration </p><ul><li>Define integration of:</li><li>IoT module and connectivity solutions</li><li>External devices (helmet, phone, sensors, etc.)</li><li>Vehicle-to-X capabilities</li><li>Ensure seamless interaction between bike, app, and external systems<br/></li></ul><p>Interface Definition (Logical Layer)</p><ul><li>Define system-level interfaces between:</li><li>Smart System</li><li>Drive System</li><li>Digital Product & Software</li><li>Align with Electrical and Wiring Engineer on physical implementation</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Supplier evaluation and requirements</p><ul><li>Evaluate and select suppliers for:</li><li>HMI components</li><li>Connectivity modules</li><li>External integrations</li><li>Define requirements and ensure supplier alignment</li></ul><p><br/></p><p>Cross functional </p><p>Work closely with:</p><ul><li>Electrical & Wiring Engineer (architecture implementation)</li><li>System Engineer – Drive Train (system interfaces)</li><li>Digital Product & Software Engineer (behavior, app integration)</li><li>Ensure all system components work together coherently<br/></li></ul><p>Profile and Experience</p><ul><li>5–10+ years in:</li><li>System engineering</li><li>Connected products (IoT, automotive, consumer electronics)</li><li>Experience defining:</li><li>System architectures</li><li>Functional requirements</li><li>User-facing system behavior<br/></li></ul><p>Capabilities </p><ul><li>Strong system thinking across hardware and software domains</li><li>Ability to translate use cases into structured system definitions</li><li>Understanding of connectivity, HMI, and embedded systems<br/></li></ul><p>Mindset</p><ul><li>Structured and analytical</li><li>Strong
