This can be home based — with twice monthly travel to one of our offices in Finland or Germany.<br/><br/></strong><strong>Your mission at Epassi<br/><br/></strong>You will help deliver Epassi’s vision as the Daily Wellbeing Companion by taking end-to-end ownership of the super app experience for our end users.<br/><br/>This individual contributor role combines strategic leadership with hands-on work when needed: you will set direction and own standards for the full app experience.<br/><br/><strong>Your Responsibilities Will Be<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Own the end-to-end super app experience from flows and interaction models to UX metrics across all markets. </li><li>Drive the evolution of design guidelines for the app inside the Epassi design system, setting standards across the full design team. </li><li>Lead hands-on concept creation, interaction design, and visual design for complex, modular app structures. </li><li>Ensure a consistent, scalable user experience across products, regions, and surfaces. </li><li>Coach other app designers in the company </li><li>Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and brand marketing. </li><li>Balance long-term UX vision with practical delivery and execution. <br/><br/></li></ul><strong>You’ll be successful in this role if you are able to:<br/><br/></strong><strong>You Are Able To<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Maintain a clear view of the full super app experience and make confident decisions across domains with good communication and collaboration. </li><li>Take end-to-end ownership of design work across the app. </li><li>Communicate with authority and clarity with designers, developers, senior leadership, and business stakeholders. </li><li>Define and track UX metrics that connect design quality to measurable business outcomes. <br/><br/></li></ul><strong>During The First 6–9 Months, You Will<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Gain sufficient level of understanding of the users of the app and the business context in different Epassi countries. </li><li>Take ownership of the super app concept and create a plan for scaling and improvements from design perspective. </li><li>Establish e2e ownership of app flows and refine and implement a framework for tracking UX metrics across the app. </li><li>Establish a great collaboration model with key stakeholders inside and outside of the design team, including design system, product management, engineering, UX writing, research and brand teams. </li><li>Work closely with other app designers to align patterns, flows, and standards across the full product. <br/><br/></li></ul><strong>What You’ll Be Doing (daily)<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Design leadership: Setting direction across app designers, owning the app design guidelines, and driving alignment on UX standards and priorities across domains. </li><li>Hands-on design work: Jumping in to design, prototype, or review when needed — keeping high quality and coherence across the product. </li><li>UX metrics: Defining and monitoring UX metrics across the super app </li><li>Cross-functional alignment: Regular collaboration with engineering, UI architecture, senior product leadership, other senior designers, and brand marketing to align design decisions at scale. </li><li>Team interaction: Working closely with local colleagues and global teams in an open, low-hierarchy culture. <br/><br/></li></ul><strong>What You Should Bring<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>8-10+ years of experience designing at-scale, complex consumer apps. </li><li>Proven experience owning end-to-end product experiences across multiple domains or surfaces.</li><li>Deep understanding of modern app design trends, patterns, and interaction paradigms, especially around complex apps or super apps and AI-powered features.</li><li>Experience defining and tracking UX metrics and connecting design to measurable outcomes.</li><li>Solid designOps experience and thus awareness of how AI and automation can support the design process.</li><li>Solid understanding of mobile technical constraints and accessibility requirements.</li><li>Experience from HR tech, fintech, wellness, or sports is a plus.</li><li>English skills are mandatory, an Epassi market language is a plus.<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Your Track Record<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, with a sharp eye for detail, system coherence, and usability. </li><li>Strategic thinking — able to see the big picture while staying close to the necessary details that bring the experience
