This is a delivery role at its core: you'll drive multi-stakeholder projects to completion (often several ones in parallel), engage with senior client leadership, and support with expert input when relevant.

We like to say that it's not a typical sustainability consulting hire. We are not looking for a CSRD expert. We're looking for an industrial mind: someone who understands how industrial products are designed, manufactured, sold, and operated, and who can apply a sustainability lens to that understanding. Industrial intuition matters more to us than the ESG vocabulary, because we can help you with the latter.

The profile:
The strongest candidates tend to come from one of these paths:

Mid-to-senior program lead inside an industrial company: has run transformation, operations, or sustainability programs with multiple senior stakeholders and demanding deadlines.

Delivery-oriented consultant: from an implementation-heavy practice (operations, supply chain, transformation).

Sustainability program manager: has run sustainability transformations inside an industrial company end-to-end, not just designed them on slides.

Engineer-turned-program-manager: has run technical programs in industry, then moved into consulting or central functions or advisory roles where execution matters as much as advice.

What you all share: willingness to roll up your sleeves, and a track record of closing things out rather than handing them off.

Industries you should know well
We work primarily in:

Manufacturing and industrial products

Building products and consumer durables

Materials, chemicals, and energy-intensive sectors

You don't need deep knowledge of all three, but you should bring strong fluency in at least one and be interested to learn about the others.

What you'll do

Lead client implementations end-to-end: from kickoff to closure, owning the timeline, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment. You are accountable for the engagement actually finishing well or even better continuing over time.

“Be the expert in the room” In workshops and senior client meetings, you synthesize, decide, and advise in real time: clients should feel they're getting Terraquota's expertise and experience.

Drive consensus across organisational lines, whether that's multiple functions inside one client, a client and its supplier ecosystem, or two or three Terraquota engagements running in parallel.

Hold senior stakeholder relationships: credible with VPs, heads of operations, and sustainability leads from week one.

Capture and feed back what you learn. Turn implementation experience into reusable Terraquota tools so that colleagues can learn from it and build on what worked well or less well.

What we look for (must-haves)

Six to ten years of relevant professional experience, with a meaningful share spent running multi-stakeholder programs to completion.

Demonstrated track record of driving complex projects to closure on time (references should be able to point to programs you owned and finished)

Strong industrial fluency: comfortable in conversations with operations leaders, plant managers, and engineering teams at industrial companies.

Engineering or comparable technical degree strongly preferred (mechanical, industrial, chemical, materials, process); exceptional non-technical candidates considered.

Full English fluency; German strongly preferred for client and team work.

EU work authorization. We are not sponsoring visas for this role.

Nice-to-have

Specific experience in our client sectors (manufacturing, building products, materials/chemicals/energy).

Hands-on familiarity with ESG Bingo “CSRD / ESRS, LCA, PCR, EPD, PPWR, WEEE, etc” would be useful but not required because we'll deepen you here.

Formal PM credentials (PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA) are welcome but not required (we care more about the track record)

Comfort presenting and writing in German or in another language.

What we offer

Direct working relationships with the founders, the team and Terraquota partners

Berlin hybrid working setup (2 days home office/week); client travel several times a year (for 2-3 days)

A small industrial consultancy that isn't chasing scale but quality and depth with its clients, building long-term partnerships, live and work by its values and protect its employees freedom to do good work without compromising on science.

About Terraquota
We are a Berlin-based industrial consultancy and environmental lab combining engineering, ESG strategy, regulatory expertise, and recycling to help industries reduce their environmental footprint and build more resilient supply chains. Anonymised excerpts are welcome.

Applications open through June 2026.
