In this ownership-driven environment, you'll work end-to-end on backend systems that power real-time messaging, automation, and AI-driven workflows at scale. Your ideas will directly shape the product and architecture.<br/><br/>What You'll Do<br/><br/><ul><li>Design, build, and ship new backend features end-to-end for customers across multiple communication channels.</li><li>Improve platform performance and reliability to enhance the overall user experience.</li><li>Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the long-term technical direction of the platform.</li><li>Help shape internal development processes, tooling, and engineering best practices.</li><li>Bring your own ideas to influence product direction and technical strategy.<br/><br/></li></ul>What We're Looking For<br/><br/><ul><li>Must-have: Proficiency in both Java and TypeScript.</li><li>Experience with Quarkus or Spring Boot (or comparable JVM frameworks).</li><li>Solid hands-on experience with AWS and Terraform for cloud infrastructure.</li><li>Strong PostgreSQL skills and experience with relational data modeling at scale.</li><li>Familiarity with AI/LLM libraries such as LangGraph or similar.</li><li>Background building scalable backend systems for communications, messaging, or similar high-throughput platforms.</li><li>Strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, distributed systems).</li><li>Senior-level experience with a proven track record of delivering complex features independently.<br/><br/></li></ul>Nice to Have<br/><br/><ul><li>Experience with event-driven architectures using queues and pub/sub systems (e.g. SQS, SNS).</li><li>Familiarity with search infrastructure (e.g. OpenSearch/Elasticsearch).</li><li>Prior work at or with B2B SaaS companies in the messaging, CRM, or customer engagement space.<br/><br/></li></ul>Location &amp; Work Arrangement<br/><br/>This is a <strong>hybrid</strong> role based in <strong>Berlin, Germany</strong>.
