Our client's ML features are core to their product, not a side project.</p><p><br/></p><p>They're hiring a Tech Lead who will own the technical direction for their machine learning efforts across their current and future product offering.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong><u>What you'll do:</u></strong></p><p><br/></p><ul><li>Drive end-to-end delivery of machine learning solutions - from prototype and pilots through to deployment into production</li><li>Work closely with the Chief Product Officer, and wider product and engineering teams, to deliver machine learning features within products</li><li>Coach and mentor 2-3 engineers, embedding best practices and helping them to successfully contribute to the machine learning stack</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong><u>What we're looking for:</u></strong></p><p><br/></p><ul><li>Proven experience designing and shipping machine learning solutions that bring measurable business value</li><li>Strong technical knowledge - this is a small team, and we expect the Lead Engineer to be hands-on with the team when needed, leading from the front</li><li>Experience making safe, tested, and observable machine learning systems, including building the tooling and pipelines that make this sustainable at scale</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong><u>Why this role?</u></strong></p><p><br/></p><p>Our client works on genuinely important problems, helping companies drive the energy transition.
