Often, a company invests in complex planning tools only to find that the implementation cut corners, leaving finance and operations teams to deal with numbers that do not match and daily processes that take far too long. We step in to configure these systems properly or build new ones from the start. Our consultants have spent years working with complex analytics stacks and bring real world experience to every project. We are currenty supporting a client that is a logistics firm. This is not about making flashy slides: it is about ensuring that the numbers are right and that the client can trust their dashboards every morning.
This role is paid and offers a salary that is attractive and competitive for the entry level market. Because we are a remote company, you will need to be comfortable managing your own schedule and communicating clearly through written updates and video calls. We do not use client projects as a training ground for junior staff to guess: instead, you will be mentored by seniors who will show you the right way to build systems that last.

What you will be doing

Cleaning and validating datasets to ensure that logistics and transport data is consistent across all reports.

Helping to build and maintain automated dashboards that track key performance indicators for the supply chain.

Writing clear, step by step documentation that explains how reports are configured and how the data is sourced.

Assisting with the configuration of analytics tools to meet the specific requirements of the finance team.

Running regular tests on data outputs to find and fix discrepancies before they reach the client management team.

Supporting the handover process by creating training materials that help client staff use their new systems independently.

Communicating with the client team to understand their reporting needs and translating those into technical tasks.

Participating in internal reviews to ensure all work meets our standards for documentation and data integrity.

What we are looking for

A basic understanding of how databases and data structures work (through studies or personal projects).

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use formulas and handle large sets of information.

Some familiarity with SQL or a strong interest in learning it to query and organize data.

An eye for detail and the ability to spot errors in a spreadsheet or a report quickly.

A professional writing style for creating configuration guides that are easy for others to follow.

The ability to work independently in a fully remote environment without constant supervision.

A degree or similar background in a field like finance, data science, economics, or business analytics.

A practical approach to problem solving and a focus on getting the details right.

How we work
At Alpine Business Consulting, we value transparency and predictability. We provide fixed price quotes to our clients and prioritize documentation that their teams can actually use. Our goal is to hand over a system that works reliably and then step back, ensuring the company has the configuration guides needed to remain independent. We are a senior led team that avoids corporate fluff and focused on delivering high quality technical work. This makes our environment a great place for someone starting their career to learn the fundamentals of data architecture and business consulting from people who have seen it all before. We believe in doing things properly the first time and avoiding shortcuts that cause problems later on.
By joining our team, you will get to work on real world logistics data and help build tools that have a direct impact on how a company operates. We focus on building systems that provide a single source of truth, giving you the chance to see the full lifecycle of a data project from initial configuration to final handover.
