Large organizations in the logistics sector generate massive amounts of data every day, from shipping manifests to inventory tracking. When these systems are not configured correctly, finance teams end up with conflicting numbers and manual workarounds that consume too much time. Our team steps in to rectify these issues and build a single source of truth that the company can rely on.
As a Data Quality Analyst Assistant, you will assist our senior consultants in auditing, cleaning, and validating the data within these complex environments. This is a fully remote, entry level position designed for someone who is organized, observant, and eager to learn the mechanics of enterprise data management. You will help us ensure that our client has clean data and the documentation they need to keep their systems running smoothly after our work is done.

What you will do

Review large datasets to identify inconsistencies, duplicates, and missing values that could skew financial reporting.

Assist consultants in mapping data flows between logistics platforms and centralized reporting tools.

Participate in the creation of technical documentation and configuration guides for client handovers.

Verifying that the data in the final reports matches the source information provided by the logistics firm.

Support the team in cleaning legacy data during migrations to more modern analytics stacks.

Maintain project logs and trackers to ensure all identified data errors are addressed.

Collaborate with the team via remote communication tools to discuss findings and project progress.

Learn to use specialized software tools for enterprise performance management under the guidance of our senior staff.

What we need from you

Basic familiarity with data concepts and a general interest in how business systems operate.

Proficiency with spreadsheets, including the ability to use standard formulas and sort large amounts of information.

Introductory knowledge of SQL for basic data querying is helpful but not required.

Strong written communication skills for creating clear, plain-spoken documentation.

A logical approach to problem solving and the patience to look for small errors in large files.

The ability to manage your own schedule and work independently in a remote environment.

Curiosity about how large companies use data to make financial and operational decisions.

A focus on accuracy and a skeptical eye for numbers that do not look quite right.

What you get
This is a permanent, full-time role that offers the flexibility of being 100% remote. You will have the chance to work on high-stakes projects for a major logistics firm, gaining practical experience in data quality and enterprise consulting. We provide a competitive compensation package that is attractive for an entry level position in the current market. Because our team is led by senior consultants who have seen almost every implementation mistake possible, you will have access to real-world expertise and mentorship. We do not use client projects as training grounds for junior staff without support: you will be an active part of the team with the guidance you need to succeed.

Working at Alpine Business Consulting
Our approach is centered on transparency and predictable results. We avoid the corporate fluff and high-pressure tactics often found in larger consulting firms. Instead, we focus on providing fixed-price quotes and leaving our clients with systems they can actually use. Documentation is the backbone of our work: we believe a system is only as good as the guides we leave behind. At Alpine, we value honesty and directness. We tell our clients the truth about their data, and we expect our team members to do the same. This role is a stable, professional path for someone looking to start their career in data analysis within a supportive and remote-first culture.
We focus on building reliable systems and providing our clients with a single source of truth for their business data.
