From routing and compliance to customized modules and full-scale orchestration, IXOPAY delivers the infrastructure for faster integrations, higher approval rates, and seamless global expansion.<br/><br/>We believe our people are our most valuable asset and that our culture is defined by our core values that align the organization with our mission and strategy.<br/><br/><strong>DevOps Engineer (Linux/PHP)<br/><br/></strong>IXOPAY is a highly scalable, PCI-DSS–certified SaaS payment platform, developed in the heart of Vienna.<br/><br/>We believe our people are our most valuable asset and that our culture is defined by our core values that align the organization with our mission and strategy.<br/><br/><strong>Position Summary<br/><br/></strong>The DevOps Engineer will be hands-on, ensuring a streamlined end-to-end process for every change, from developer experience in pre-production systems to CI/CD pipelines, performing related duties as required.<br/><br/>This position requires development proficiency, systems architecture expertise, strong experience with PHP, and proven competence in establishing and maintaining DevOps practices across multiple teams and CI/CD pipelines like Gitlab.<br/><br/><strong>Position Description<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Improve developer experience and automate release processes via Gitlab, Kubernetes, etc.</li><li>Collaborate with Platform Engineering teams to maintain multiple deployment environments including Dev, Staging, Sandbox, and Prod, and streamline the deployment process.</li><li>Optimize our development and testing infrastructure to support AI agent–driven workflows with many concurrent environments and tests.</li><li>Optimize testing strategy to reduce environment duplication, improving efficiency and lowering infrastructure overhead. (eg. feature flag matrix, coverage guided testing)</li><li>Together with our team of Release Managers and Platform Engineers, own the release process and required resources. </li><li>Identify dependencies and risks that may impact full and patch releases, and effectively manage them. </li><li>Maintain documentation related to build and release procedures. <br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Strong PHP experience; comfortable refactoring application code to work in shared/multi-tenant environments.</li><li>Knowledge of scripting languages including JavaScript and Python. </li><li>Experience with Linux and macOS operating systems.</li><li>Experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, code coverage and automated deployment &amp; management using tools like Git, Playwright, Kubernetes, and (On Premise) Gitlab CI/CD.</li><li>Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) pipelines. </li><li>DevOps experience with multi-disciplinary teams in an Agile environment. </li><li>Knowledge of traditional agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban. </li><li>Experience supporting regular release schedules, as well as patch code releases. </li><li>Knowledge of approaches and tooling for automated software assurance and QA. </li><li>Experience with Linux and macOS operating systems.</li><li>Nice to have: Experience with public/private cloud and virtualization technologies.<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>What We Offer<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>We offer you a friendly and open working atmosphere in a modern, easily accessible office</li><li>All team members receive a company notebook</li><li>Hybrid working is possible (office/home office)</li><li>We provide an annual public transport pass for Vienna</li><li>You will always find free coffee, tea &amp; fruits</li><li>IXO Fitness: All employees have free and automatic access to numerous gyms and sports activities via the myClubs app</li><li>Numerous team and company events also bring variety to your daily work life<br/><br/></li></ul>The actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience.
