With significant investment in cloud, platforms, and modern engineering practices, this is a fantastic opportunity to join at a pivotal moment.</p><p><br/></p><p>This business is evolving from a traditional infrastructure environment into a modern, cloud-first ecosystem and they’re looking for someone to help lead that change, influence strategy, and bring teams along the journey.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>What you will do</strong></p><p>You’ll play a key role in driving platform engineering capability across the organisation, leading from the front both technically and strategically.</p><ul><li>Lead the design and delivery of cloud-based platforms in AWS</li><li>Drive adoption of automation, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices</li><li>Support the transformation of legacy workloads into containerised and cloud-native architectures</li><li>Act as a technical leader and escalation point for complex platform challenges</li><li>Mentor and coach engineers, helping raise capability across the team</li><li>Influence standards, tooling, and best practices across the platform function</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reusable cloud platforms</li><li>Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling</li><li>Define and enforce engineering standards, patterns, and documentation</li><li>Lead on platform support, maintenance, and security compliance</li><li>Implement monitoring, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery solutions</li><li>Continuously improve performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability</li><li>Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers</li><li>Support architectural decisions and solve complex technical challenges</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>What we are looking for</strong></p><ul><li>Strong experience in platform engineering / DevOps environments</li><li>Hands-on experience with AWS (ideally also exposure to GCP)</li><li>Strong knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation tools</li><li>Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines / GitOps environments</li><li>Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, and microservices architectures</li><li>Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, and security principles</li><li>Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Details</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Location:</strong> Northampton (hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)</li><li><strong>Salary:</strong> £50,000 - 60,000 + up to 15% bonus</li><li><strong>Contract:</strong> Permanent</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>If this sounds like you apply below!</strong></p> </div>
