<div class="show-more-less-html__markup show-more-less-html__markup--clamp-after-5 relative overflow-hidden"> <p><strong>Scope of Work</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>We are looking for an experienced Cloud Data Engineer to join us on an initial 3-month assignment, with the possibility of extension. This role requires occasional travel in Germany (Munich or Frankfurt preferred), ideally one to two times per month.</p><p>You will support strategic Google Cloud customers on large-scale data transformation initiatives, helping organizations leverage the full capabilities of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) across the entire data lifecycle, from ingestion and storage to processing, analytics, and visualization.</p><p>A key focus of this position is supporting data migration and transformation projects, including Snowflake-to-BigQuery migrations, while designing and implementing scalable, enterprise-grade data platforms and pipelines.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br/></p><ul><li>Design, develop, and deploy high-performance batch and streaming data pipelines</li><li>Build and maintain secure, scalable data lakes and data warehouse solutions on Google Cloud Platform</li><li>Support customers in modernizing and transforming their data environments</li><li>Drive data migration projects, including Snowflake to BigQuery migrations</li><li>Design cloud-native enterprise data solutions and support successful project delivery</li><li>Implement infrastructure automation, DevOps, and CI/CD best practices</li><li>Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, architects, and engineering teams to deliver business-critical data solutions</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Experience</strong></p><p><br/></p><ul><li>5+ years of experience in Data Engineering</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with <strong>Google Cloud Platform (GCP)</strong></li><li>Excellent knowledge of <strong>BigQuery</strong></li><li>Proven experience with <strong>Snowflake to BigQuery migration projects</strong></li><li>Experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale data lakes and data warehouses</li><li>Expertise in designing and implementing batch and streaming data pipelines</li><li>Experience with <strong>Ab Initio</strong></li><li>Strong understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices</li><li><strong>Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certification</strong></li><li>Fluent English communication skills</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><p><br/></p><ul><li>German language skills</li><li>Technical consulting or customer-facing experience</li><li>Advanced SQL performance tuning and optimization</li><li>Experience with event-driven and streaming architectures</li><li>Experience delivering production-scale Big Data solutions on public cloud platforms</li></ul><p><br/></p><p>If you are an experienced <strong>GCP Data Engineer</strong> with expertise in <strong>BigQuery</strong>, <strong>Snowflake migrations</strong>, and cloud data transformation projects, we would love to hear from you.</p> </div>
