The Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA), or German Association of the Automotive Industry, is a prominent interest group representing over 620 member companies within the German automotive sector, including manufacturers, suppliers, and producers of trailers, special bodies, and buses. It advocates for the industry's interests both nationally and internationally, focusing on economic and transport policy, technical legislation, quality assurance, and taxation, with a significant emphasis on environmental and climate protection. The VDA also plays a key role in organizing major events such as the International Motor Show Germany (IAA).
