The GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences is Germany's national research center for Earth Sciences. It investigates the physical, geological, chemical, and mineralogical properties of our planet to understand the Earth system, address global change, mitigate natural hazards, and enable responsible resource management. It is part of the Helmholtz Association of National Research Centres.
