The Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben (BImA), also known as the Institute for Federal Real Estate, is an independent federal public institution in Germany. Established on January 1, 2005, its primary task is to manage, develop, and optimize the federal government's diverse real estate portfolio on commercial principles, while also aligning with public policy objectives in housing, urban development, and environmental protection. It administers a vast portfolio including administrative buildings, military sites, residential units, and extensive land holdings, acting as a central real estate service provider for the German federal government.
