The candidate will play a key role in day-to-day team management, project planning, task allocation, and ensuring the timely delivery of project milestones while fostering innovation and best practices within the team.<br/><br/><strong>Main Responsibilities<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of a team of developers and testers to ensure efficient delivery of project goals and milestones.</li><li>Oversee project management tasks, including planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting on deliverables.</li><li>Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable tasks for the team.</li><li>Assign tasks, set priorities, monitor progress, and provide guidance to team members throughout the project lifecycle.</li><li>Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies as required.</li><li>Guide and mentor team members; conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.</li><li>Oversee the software development process, including implementation, testing, and deployment.</li><li>Identify project risks and propose mitigation strategies.</li><li>Ensure performance, scalability, and security of applications.</li><li>Take ownership of project issues and drive resolution.</li><li>Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews of team members as needed.</li><li>Stay updated with emerging technologies and proactively suggest improvements to processes and tools.<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.</li><li>Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, JPA/Hibernate.</li><li>Strong understanding of software development life cycle, design patterns, and agile methodologies.</li><li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines, unit testing frameworks, and version control systems (e.g., Git).</li><li>Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).</li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.</li><li>Proven experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.<br/><br/></li></ul>Mauritius Network Services Ltd reserves the right to change, update, or withdraw any job vacancy without prior notice.<br/><br/>Posting a position on this website does not guarantee employment.<br/><br/>Only candidates selected for further consideration will be contacted. </div>
