The role requires a balance of hands-on Java engineering and functional knowledge of Risk and ALM domains is now a key selection criterion. The candidate must be able to read and understand requirement tickets independently without requiring full domain explanation from the requesting BA.</p><p><br/></p><ul><li>Serve as the most senior technical resource within the functional BA team.</li><li>Analyse logs, error traces, and system behaviour to assess root cause of production issues (own-side vs. vendor-side).</li><li>Develop within the RiskPro Java framework, adhering to tool constraints (not a standard open-source Java project — limited to platform-provided libraries).</li><li>Manage PL/SQL and PostgreSQL database changes using Liquibase for version-controlled deployments.</li><li>Use Git / GitHub for source control and change management.</li><li>Translate functional requirements from business analysts into technical specifications and implementations.</li><li>Liaise with Regnology technical support to document, reproduce, and track bugs.</li><li>Support ticket analysis: understand domain-specific terminology to correctly interpret requirements without needing full explanation of underlying finance concepts.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>MUST-HAVE Skills </strong></p><ul><li><strong>Core Technical Skills</strong></li><li>Strong hands-on experience in Java (Spring Boot preferred), used within RiskPro's proprietary development framework; not standard open-source Java.</li><li>Strong experience in SQL, PL/SQL and PostgreSQL database development and stored procedures.</li><li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab CI), source control; team uses GitHub</li><li>Hands-on experience with build tools such as Maven and database tools such as Liquibase, database change management and version control.</li><li>Experience with API development and integration.</li><li>Strong experience in Log analysis &amp; diagnostics, Ability to read and interpret application/system logs to isolate issues</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Risk Management Domain (Mandatory)</strong></p><ul><li>Hands-on experience in most domains: Liquidity Risk, Market Risk, ALM, IRRBB (Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book), Treasury, Net Interest Income (NII)</li><li>Understanding of financial risk calculations and data flows</li><li>Exposure to regulatory reporting or risk analytics systems</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Production &amp; Platform Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in L3 production support, incident management and RCA</li><li>Experience handling batch jobs, data pipelines, and system interfaces</li><li>Experience working on enterprise banking or financial systems</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Business Analysis Capability</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions</li><li>Stakeholder interaction with Risk / Treasury / Finance teams</li><li>Experience performing functional impact analysis</li></ul> </div>
