This role combines hands-on technical expertise with solution architecture and leadership responsibilities, ensuring that global software components are successfully integrated and adapted to local business requirements.<br/><br/>The successful candidate will work closely with international teams, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to design scalable solutions, guide development activities, and drive high-quality software delivery within an Agile environment.<br/><br/><strong>Responsibilities<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Analyse global software components and assess their implementation within local Claims and Motor environments.</li><li>Design and document solution architectures and technical specifications.</li><li>Identify and define local enhancements and adaptation requirements.</li><li>Lead and support distributed development teams across international locations.</li><li>Provide technical guidance on ABS solution design, development, and integration.</li><li>Promote best practices in software engineering, architecture, and development standards.</li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.</li><li>Conduct and support code reviews, unit testing, and system integration testing activities.</li><li>Ensure quality, maintainability, and scalability of software solutions.</li><li>Drive architecture discussions and support decision-making across teams.</li><li>Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Support the implementation of event-driven and microservices-based architectures.<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Qualifications Essential Skills<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>10+ years of experience as a Lead Developer, Senior Developer, or Solution Architect.</li><li>Minimum 3+ years of ABS development experience, preferably within the Claims File domain.</li><li>Experience working within international and geographically distributed teams.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor development teams.</li><li>Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile delivery methodologies.</li><li>Java 17+ (Java 21 preferred).</li><li>Spring Boot 3.x.</li><li>REST API development and integration.</li><li>Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.</li><li>Microservices architecture.</li><li>Domain-Driven Design (DDD).</li><li>Git version control and pull request processes.</li><li>JUnit testing frameworks.</li><li>Cloud platform knowledge (Azure and/or AWS).</li><li>CI/CD tools, including Jenkins.<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Desired Skills<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Knowledge of ABS Business Layer, particularly within the Claims domain.</li><li>Experience with ABS/CISL extensions and customisations.</li><li>Understanding of ABS and CISLv2 core architecture.</li><li>Experience with ABS Core Plugin development.</li><li>Knowledge of OSGi and Eclipse Plugin development.</li><li>Camunda workflow engine experience.</li><li>Insurance industry experience, especially within Claims and Motor business processes.</li><li>Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.</li><li>Experience influencing technical decisions across multiple teams and locations.</li><li>Ability to operate effectively within complex enterprise environments.</li><li>Proactive, solution-focused mindset with a strong ability to drive outcomes.<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>What Do I Need Before I Apply<br/><br/></strong>Nur Bewerber:innen, die berechtigt sind, in der EU oder in der Schweiz zu arbeiten, werden berücksichtigt.
