Solution Architect (Part-time / Teilzeit, Germany)

You will play a leading role in pre-sales activities, working closely with clients from the earliest stages to understand their needs, shape solution concepts, and define winning proposals. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will bridge business and technology to ensure successful outcomes from initial engagement through to delivery.</p><p>In this role, you will focus on designing and positioning advanced AI, IoT, and cloud-based solutions — from connected systems and data-driven platforms to scalable cloud infrastructures and AI-powered applications. You will work across industries such as healthcare, energy and logistics, addressing complex business challenges with innovative and scalable technologies.</p><p><strong>Necessary skills and qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>3+ years of proven experience as a Cloud Architect or Solution Architect</li><li>Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (AKS, ACR, VNETs, Storage, Monitoring, Entra ID) and building microservices architectures with containerized workloads</li><li>8+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer with any backend technology</li><li>Proven expertise in designing cloud-native systems with explicit ownership of capacity planning, cost forecasting, and TCO modeling across production workloads</li><li>Practical experience building IoT solutions, including telemetry, connectivity and reliability constraints, firmware lifecycle management, OTA updates, and device fleet management.</li><li>Experience to assess, compare, and recommend software architectures, technologies, and approaches for projects; clearly present pros/cons, tradeoffs, risks, and implementation implications to stakeholders</li><li>Experience of architecture design based on ready-made components as an alternative proposal for a customer</li><li>In-depth understanding of security-by-* principles, including encryption, zero-trust networking, and secure service-to-service communication</li><li>Proven ability to lead architecture vision and technical discussions with customers and internal teams</li><li>Strong communication and presentation skills</li><li>Ability to balance business requirements, compliance, and technical feasibility</li><li>Upper-Intermediate level of German proficiency</li><li>Upper-Intermediate level of English proficiency</li></ul><p><strong>Will be a plus:</strong></p><ul><li>Solid understanding of multi-region, high-availability, and disaster recovery designs (BCDR)</li><li>Hands-on experience designing and operating AWS-based architectures and cloud infrastructure, or equivalent experience with DACH-region cloud providers.</li><li>Experience with MSAL, MFA, and federated identity integrations</li><li>Experience delivering healthcare-focused solutions using FHIR and HL7 protocols, and working with healthcare systems and workflows</li><li>Familiarity with GDPR, and ISO 27001 compliance requirements</li><li>Familiarity with CRA requirements</li><li>Understanding of how DevOps/DevSecOps tools (Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) work</li><li>Proficiency in SDLC and V-model development</li><li>Experience with design control and requirements traceability in compliance with regulatory standards</li><li>Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-305</li></ul><p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Part-time contract with flexible engagement options</li><li>Comprehensive health and social insurance coverage in line with local regulations</li><li>Flexible working hours and results-oriented work culture</li><li>Fully equipped workstation (laptop, tools, software, and peripherals as needed)</li><li>Comfortable office in Hamburg with modern facilities and good transport accessibility</li><li>Hybrid work model depending on project and client needs</li></ul><p></p> </div>
