You lead and empower engineers, shape the technical direction in alignment with business goals, and ensure high-quality, sustainable software delivery while building a high-performing team and culture of continuous improvement.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>As a Software Engineering Lead you will:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead, inspire and guide a cross-functional team of software engineers, fostering a high-performing, collaborative and inclusive environment</li><li>Drive performance, productivity, and career development of engineering team members, including hiring, onboarding and the full employee lifecycle</li><li>Define and own the technical direction within your domain, ensuring alignment with overarching architectural principles and long-term system health</li><li>Define and drive the technical direction of your domain, ensuring high-quality, secure and scalable software delivery aligned with architectural standards</li><li>Collaborate closely with Product and stakeholders to prioritise work, balance delivery with technical debt, and ensure long-term system stability</li><li>Provide hands-on technical guidance, coaching and mentorship to engineers, supporting continuous learning and development</li><li>Drive adoption of modern engineering practices and ways of working, continuously improving team efficiency and delivery performance</li><li>Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, leveraging emerging technologies and encouraging experimentation and retrospectives</li><li>Apply business and domain understanding to guide technical decisions and ensure outcomes contribute to product and business goals</li><li>Communicate effectively with stakeholders on both technical and people-related topics</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>To excel in this role, you need:</strong></p><ul><li>Strong ability to build trusted relationships with engineers and lead by example through both technical credibility and interpersonal skills</li><li>Technical background in software development in cross-functional and distributed environments</li><li>Experience or strong interest in architecture, engineering practices and technical decision-making</li><li>Experience supporting recruitment processes (sourcing, interviews, evaluation)</li><li>Ability to navigate complexity and capture both domain and technical context effectively</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p><ul><li>Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in a tech environment</li><li>Experience working in product-oriented organisations</li><li>Willingness to familiarise yourself with relevant local laws</li><li>Lead by example through strong collaboration and visible presence with the team</li></ul><p><br/></p><p>Equal Opportunity Employer Statement</p><p>We want to be a fair and inclusive employer.
