You'll be taking ownership of new features from concept to deployment, tackling complex challenges in platform scalability and ensuring speed and excellence.</p><br/>Tasks<br/><ul><br/><li><strong>Build:</strong> Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot 3 on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).</li><br/><li><strong>Own Features:</strong> Take full ownership of the entire development lifecycle for new platform features, from technical design and requirement clarification with product and support teams to testing and deployment.</li><br/><li><strong>Solve Complex Problems:</strong> Dive deep into business logic, tackle challenging API integrations for Shopify and build solutions that provide real value to our customers in the accounting and e-commerce domains.</li><br/><li><strong>Ensure Reliability:</strong> Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production environments to ensure our platform is performant and reliable.</li><br/><li><strong>Collaborate &amp; Mentor:</strong> Participate in code reviews, share your knowledge with the team, and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence.</li><br/></ul><br/>Requirements<br/><ul><br/><li><strong>5+ years of professional experience</strong> in backend development, with a strong command of Java and the Spring Boot framework. Experience in AI Coding Tools &amp; willingness to further drive AI Adoption in our Development process.</li><br/><li><strong>A Structured Mindset:</strong> You excel at breaking down complex problems, clarifying requirements with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and designing clean, well-architected solutions.</li><br/><li><strong>API Expertise:</strong> Deep experience designing and consuming Shopify GraphQL APIs, including complex third-party integrations.</li><br/><li><strong>Cloud Proficiency:</strong> Hands-on experience building and deploying applications on cloud platforms, preferably GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, PubSub, etc.).</li><br/><li><strong>Problem-Solving Skills:</strong> Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. You're comfortable navigating ambiguity and finding the root cause of an issue.</li><br/><li><strong>Strong Collaboration Skills:</strong> You communicate clearly and work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
