This is a hybrid design + engineering-adjacent role for someone who thinks in both craft and code.

What you’ll do - Design end-to-end product experiences for an AI-powered B2B SaaS platform, including brand and UI presentation. - Design and build generative, non-deterministic interfaces — UI that adapts per session/user rather than following fixed static states (loading, partial results, streaming content, AI uncertainty). - Use Claude Code (or equivalent AI coding tools) to implement your own designs as real, working front-end code. - Test your work on staging and push PRs to production. - Use Figma with MCP-based workflows (Figma-to-code, design tokens, component sync) to keep design and code in sync. - Contribute to brand and product identity — not just screens, but how the brand and product experience feel as a whole.

Who this is a fit for - Proven B2B SaaS design experience — ideally with live, shippable work available to review today (not just static portfolio shots). - Real experience building brands and product experiences, not only executing within an existing design system. - Hands-on coding ability — comfortable using Claude Code (or similar) to prototype or ship real front-end code. - A lean-code mindset — writes/reviews dependency-light, bloat-free front-end code; no unnecessary libraries or premature abstraction. - AI-native interface experience — has actually designed and shipped generative or “undeterministic” UI, and is comfortable designing for ambiguity rather than fixed states. - Strong Figma skills, including MCP-based design-to-code workflows. - An eye for how features look and are presented — polish and presentation matter as much as function.

Nice to have - Experience naming/positioning a product alongside visual design (full brand ownership). - Familiarity with component libraries (e.g. shadcn, Radix) and keeping custom AI-driven UI consistent with a system.

Engagement details Initial 4-week contract to assess fit and momentum, with the intent to extend to 3+ months for the right person. Deliverables in the initial period will likely include brand/product direction, key flows and screens, and working, shipped components — not just mockups.

Job Ref: WB-149
