This is deep, systems-level work where infrastructure, networking, and backend engineering truly intersect.

You’ll be solving real-world connectivity problems at scale—optimising routing, handling NAT traversal challenges, and ensuring low-latency, reliable communication across distributed systems used globally.

What you’ll actually be doing

Own and scale globally distributed infrastructure

Design and operate the cloud infrastructure powering our management and relay services—built for performance, reliability, and global reach.

Work on real networking problems (not just “cloud infra”)

Collaborate closely with networking engineers to improve routing, connectivity, and peer-to-peer communication across complex environments.

Drive reliability at scale

Build observability from the ground up (metrics, logs, tracing), lead incident response, and implement meaningful improvements—not just firefighting.

Enable fast, confident shipping

Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines that allow engineers to deploy quickly, safely, and repeatedly.

Automate everything that should be automated

Improve developer experience through internal tooling while supporting a fast-growing open-source ecosystem.

Why this role is different

Networking is at the core – This isn’t a typical “Kubernetes + Terraform” role.
