Through its portfolio of <strong>RISC‑V processor IP, software tools, and custom silicon platforms</strong>, MIPS helps customers design high-performance, power-efficient solutions from architecture to silicon.<br/><br/>Our solutions are driving innovation across automotive applications such as <strong>ADAS and zonal vehicle architectures</strong>, supporting the transition toward software-defined and AI-enabled vehicles.<br/><br/><strong>Introduction<br/><br/></strong>We are seeking a <strong>Senior</strong> <strong>Business Development Manager – Automotive (EMEA)</strong> to accelerate growth with leading automotive OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers, and semiconductor partners across Europe.<br/><br/>Responsibility includes driving new business opportunities and managing key customer relationships, from early engagement through deal closure.<br/><br/><strong>Key Responsibilities<br/><br/></strong><strong>Drive Business Growth<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Identify, develop, and close new opportunities across automotive customers in EMEA</li><li>Lead the full sales lifecycle from initial engagement to contract execution</li><li>Focus on strategic engagements including Automotive platform solutions, Custom silicon programs, Processor IP licensing<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Own Strategic Customer Relationships<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Act as primary account owner for key OEMs and Tier‑1 suppliers</li><li>Build strong relationships across engineering, purchasing, and executive levels</li><li>Develop and execute account strategies aligned with customer roadmaps<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Engage & Position Solutions<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Work closely with customer engineering teams to understand system requirements</li><li>Position MIPS’ value proposition including Open RISC‑V-based compute architectures, High-performance, multi-threaded CPU IP, Functional safety-ready solutions, End-to-end offering from IP to silicon</li><li>Translate technical requirements into compelling commercial proposals<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Build and Manage Pipeline<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities</li><li>Ensure accurate forecasting and CRM management</li><li>Track progress toward revenue targets<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Develop the Ecosystem<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Expand relationships with automotive design houses, system integrators, and partners</li><li>Support industry engagement (conferences, customer workshops, RISC‑V ecosystem)</li><li>Strengthen MIPS’ presence in the European automotive market<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Collaborate Across Teams<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Partner with engineering, product management, marketing, and foundry teams</li><li>Align internal stakeholders to drive successful customer engagements</li><li>Provide input to product roadmap based on market and customer needs<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br/><br/></strong><strong>Experience<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>5+ years in business development, sales, or account management</li><li>Background in Semiconductor IC, ASIC/SoC, or foundry services and Automotive electronics ecosystem</li><li>Proven success in closing complex, high-value deals</li><li>Established network within EMEA automotive ecosystem</li><li>Strong understanding of automotive system architectures: ADAS / perception systems, Power Train / Electrification, Real-time and zonal compute systems</li><li>Familiarity with processor IP and silicon development flows</li><li>Strong customer engagement and negotiation capabilities</li><li>Ability to operate independently and manage multiple opportunities</li><li>Excellent communication bridging technical and commercial topics</li><li>Structured pipeline and account management approach<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Track record working with European OEMs and Tier‑1 suppliers</li><li>Experience selling silicon or platform-based solutions</li><li>Experience with Embedded Compute Architectures<br/><br/></li></ul>Diversity is part of our corporate DNA.
