This is a 3-year contract role with the possibility of extension.<br/><br/></strong><strong>The ideal candidate for the MS Azure Engineer role will have strong hands-on experience in designing, configuring and maintaining secure, scalable and highly available Microsoft Azure cloud environments. They should be comfortable working across infrastructure automation, cloud networking, monitoring, identity, application hosting and enterprise incident management.<br/><br/></strong><strong>Strategic Scope: Directs the provisioning, security mapping, scaling, and automated maintenance of native cloud configurations and hybrid processing nodes across Microsoft Azure, operating entirely under Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) paradigms.<br/><br/></strong><strong>Core Responsibilities<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Cloud Systems Architecture: Design, map, configure, and maintain secure distributed multi-tier computing topographies within Microsoft Azure cloud tenants.</li><li>Infrastructure-as-Code Automation: Formulate, test, and maintain declarative automation blocks using state-driven templating files to enforce repeatable infrastructure deployments.</li><li>Telemetry &amp; Telemetry Configuration: Build and tune proactive system health monitoring engines, alerts, log aggregation rules, and automatic scaling/self-healing infrastructure loops.</li><li>Documentation Standards: Author and verify detailed architectural schematics, network layout diagrams, security boundary specifications, and disaster recovery blueprints.</li><li>Vendor Incident Coordination: Lead complex diagnostic resolution loops, managing technical escalation paths directly with Microsoft enterprise product engineers during critical incidents.<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Required Skills &amp; Experience<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Minimum of 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure engineering, cloud infrastructure operations, or enterprise cloud architecture.</li><li>Strong experience designing, configuring and maintaining secure, distributed, multi-tier cloud environments within Microsoft Azure.</li><li>Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Microsoft Bicep, ARM Templates, PowerShell scripts or Azure CLI.</li><li>Good knowledge of Azure core services, including Azure Web Apps, Azure Storage, Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Entra ID, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.</li><li>Experience building and tuning monitoring, alerting, log aggregation, system health dashboards, auto-scaling and self-healing infrastructure mechanisms.</li><li>Strong understanding of Azure security boundaries, network segmentation, access control, identity management and disaster recovery planning.</li><li>Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, network layouts, configuration guides, security specifications and DR blueprints.</li><li>Experience troubleshooting complex Azure infrastructure issues and coordinating escalations with Microsoft or enterprise technology vendors during critical incidents.</li><li>Good understanding of enterprise cloud operations, change management, incident management, performance optimisation and service lifecycle practices.</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as part of a distributed project team, collaborating with architects, developers, security engineers, operations teams and business stakeholders.</li><li>Languages : Flawless bilingual/native-level business German communications proficiency (C1/C2 level written and spoken) is required.
