Connected to this, we also own backend components that enable configuration, cloud EMS integrations, and interfaces for our admin dashboard.</p><p><strong>Your role split – Technology meets Leadership: In this position, you will combine deep technical hands-on engineering with team empowerment. We live a 70/30 split: </strong>You will spend 70% of your time as an individual contributor close to the technology (coding and architecture) and 30% of your time taking over leadership responsibilities to help your team grow. </p><p><strong>#Recharge your career and join Dominik, Philipp, Raffael, and the EVCI team.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>This is how you and your application stand out</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>We're looking for a <strong>Lead Engineer / Tech Lead </strong>who loves building great software and enjoys mentoring and enabling peers. You bring a strong engineering mindset, a pragmatic approach to collaboration, and the ambition to grow into a leadership role within a fast-evolving environment.</p><ul><li><strong>Software engineering background: </strong>3+ years of production experience with Golang, or expert-level proficiency in a comparable systems language such as Rust or C++, combined with a strong willingness to work in a Go-based ecosystem.</li><li><strong>Production-grade track record: </strong>5+ years of overall software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering robust software solutions into production.</li><li><strong>Evolution into Leadership:</strong> First experience in mentoring, technical leading, or a strong desire to take the next career step by taking over people leadership responsibilities for a small team (approx. 30% of your time).</li><li><strong>Coaching & empowering peers: </strong>A coaching-first mindset with a focus on advocacy, technical guidance, psychological safety, and enabling engineers to do their best work.</li><li><strong>Distributed systems & virtualization:</strong> Experience designing, deploying, and operating resilient distributed architectures, including containerization technologies such as Docker.</li><li><strong>Domain curiosity: </strong>Previous experience in the energy sector is a plus, but not a requirement. What matters most is a genuine curiosity for solving complex technical, physical, and data-driven challenges.</li><li><strong>Observability:</strong> Familiarity with SQL and modern analytics frameworks is a strong plus.
