This is not a greenfield project, but a system that continuously evolves under real-world constraints.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Your tasks</strong></p><ul><li>Building and maintaining integrations with European banking interfaces (APIs as well as legacy protocols like FinTS/HBCI)</li><li>Handling inconsistent and unreliable third-party systems</li><li>Developing backend features in a high-throughput, data-intensive environment</li><li>Improving performance, stability, and data quality across our platform</li><li>Debugging complex edge cases that arise from real banking data and integrations</li><li>Writing clean, maintainable code with solid test coverage</li><li>Collaborating closely with Product, Support, and other engineering teams to ship features that work reliably in production</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Your profile</strong></p><p>Must-have</p><ul><li>Completed degree in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable qualification.</li><li>Solid experience with Java or Kotlin in backend development (ideally with Spring Boot)</li><li>Experience building and maintaining REST APIs in production</li><li>Good understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL)</li><li>Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code</li><li>Confidence to work independently on features while collaborating within a team</li><li>Interest in understanding and solving real-world system behavior (not just happy-path coding)</li></ul><p><br/></p><p>Nice-to-have</p><ul><li>Experience with financial APIs (PSD2 / XS2A) or FinTS/HBCI</li><li>Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments</li><li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines</li><li>Exposure to Kubernetes or cloud environments (e.g. AWS)</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Your advantages and benefits</strong></p><p>If you want to achieve great things, then you have to offer a great working environment.
