<div class="show-more-less-html__markup show-more-less-html__markup--clamp-after-5 relative overflow-hidden"> <p>GCP Cloud Engineer (GKE Specialist)</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Germany (Remote)</p><p><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Contract (6–9 Months) with potential for permanent employment</p><p><strong>Start Date:</strong> ASAP</p><p><br/></p><p>About the Role</p><p>We are seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Engineer to join a growing cloud engineering team supporting enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and be comfortable working in a fully remote, international environment.</p><p>This is an initial 6–9 month contract engagement with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position based on performance and business requirements.</p><p><br/></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).</li><li>Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes workloads using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).</li><li>Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.</li><li>Automate cloud operations, deployments, and monitoring processes.</li><li>Collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, Security, and Development teams.</li><li>Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and performance of cloud environments.</li><li>Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and Kubernetes-related issues.</li><li>Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.</li><li>Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p>Required Skills & Experience</p><ul><li>5–7 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar role.</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).</li><li>Proven expertise with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) in production environments.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, administration, and troubleshooting.</li><li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).</li><li>Experience with CI/CD tools and automation practices.</li><li>Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, IAM, and monitoring solutions.</li><li>Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.</li><li>Familiarity with Linux systems administration and scripting.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and communication skills.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p>Language Requirements</p><ul><li>Fluent English (written and spoken) – mandatory.</li><li>German language skills at minimum B2 level – mandatory.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p>Nice to Have</p><ul><li>GCP certifications (Professional Cloud Engineer or similar).</li><li>Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.</li><li>Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).</li><li>Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Cloud Operations Suite.</li><li>Experience in regulated or enterprise-scale environments.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p>What We Offer</p><ul><li>Fully remote position within Germany.</li><li>Long-term opportunity with potential conversion to permanent employment.</li><li>Exposure to modern cloud-native technologies and large-scale Kubernetes environments.</li><li>Collaborative international team environment.</li><li>Competitive contract rates.</li></ul> </div>
