<div class="show-more-less-html__markup show-more-less-html__markup--clamp-after-5 relative overflow-hidden"> <p>🚀 Freelance Data Engineer | Germany-Based, EU Citizen | 6-Month Initial Contract</p><p><br/></p><p>I’m currently partnered with a client who is investing heavily in their data platform and engineering capabilities, and they’re looking to bring in an experienced Data Engineer on a freelance basis to support a large-scale transformation programme.</p><p><br/></p><p>This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering environment where data sits at the core of business decision-making. You’ll be working on modern cloud infrastructure, helping to design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines and architectures that support analytics, AI, and operational reporting across the organisation.</p><p><br/></p><p>The project is already underway, so they need someone who can come in confidently, work autonomously, and add value quickly within a fast-paced engineering team.</p><p><br/></p><p>🔹 Responsibilities:</p><p><br/></p><p>• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines</p><p>• Develop robust and efficient data models for analytics and operational use cases</p><p>• Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Software Engineers to improve data accessibility and quality</p><p>• Optimise existing data workflows and improve platform performance</p><p>• Support cloud migration and modernisation initiatives</p><p>• Ensure best practices around data governance, testing, monitoring, and documentation</p><p>• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making across the platform</p><p><br/></p><p>🔹 Required Experience:</p><p><br/></p><p>• Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer</p><p>• Advanced SQL and Python skills</p><p>• Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed systems</p><p>• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP</p><p>• Strong understanding of modern data warehousing concepts</p><p>• Experience with tools/frameworks such as Databricks, Spark, Airflow, Kafka, Snowflake, or dbt</p><p>• Comfortable working in agile engineering teams</p><p><br/></p><p>🔹 Nice to Have:</p><p><br/></p><p>• Experience within data-heavy or AI-driven environments</p><p>• Exposure to streaming/data real-time architectures</p><p>• Experience supporting machine learning workflows</p><p>• Previous freelance/contracting experience</p><p><br/></p><p>📍 Location: Germany</p><p>🏠 Working Model: Hybrid / Remote flexibility</p><p>🛂 Requirement: Must be an EU Citizen</p><p>💼 Contract Type: Freelance / B2B</p><p>⏳ Initial Contract Length: 6 months</p><p>⚡ Interview Process: Fast-moving</p><p><br/></p><p>If you’re open to hearing more or know someone suitable within your network, feel free to message me directly.</p> </div>
