SWARCO promotes a forward-looking, collaborative environment where team members contribute directly to road safety and mobility.<br/><strong>Role Description</strong> This is a full-time Senior DevOps Engineer role based in the Berlin Metropolitan Area with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a mix of on-site and remote work from home. The Senior DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code templates, and automated deployment processes for SWARCO’s software and cloud platforms. Daily responsibilities include managing and monitoring production and staging environments, optimizing system reliability and performance, and implementing robust security and backup strategies. The role involves close collaboration with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline release cycles, troubleshoot incidents, and improve observability through logging, metrics, and alerting. The Senior DevOps Engineer will also contribute to architectural decisions, mentor team members on DevOps best practices, and help drive continuous improvement of tools, workflows, and standards.<br/><strong>Qualifications<br/></strong> <ul><li>Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).</li><li>Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps) and version control systems (Git).</li><li>Hands-on skills in containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and related ecosystem tools.</li><li>Solid background in Linux-based systems administration, scripting (e.g., Python, Bash), and automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Chef, or Puppet).</li><li>Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack, Datadog, or similar) to ensure reliability and observability.</li><li>Knowledge of security best practices for cloud and DevOps environments, including IAM, secrets management, and secure configuration.</li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional, agile teams and communicate complex technical topics to diverse stakeholders.</li><li>Several years of relevant DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience; experience in industrial, traffic, or safety-related domains is an advantage.</li></ul> </div>
