In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines that power our ifap DataServices. Your work will involve transforming curated medication, prescription, and clinical reference data into reliable, up-to-date, and high-performance datasets for our SaaS products and partners. You will collaborate closely with product management, AI engineers, and architecture teams to create data products that enable AI-native features and seamless partner integrations. Your expertise will help ensure data quality, lineage, observability, and cost efficiency, all while adhering to regulatory and security standards.<br/><br/><strong>Qualifications<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Multiple years of senior experience in data engineering with Python, with a proven track record of operating productive data pipelines in regulated or mission-critical environments.</li><li>Completed degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable technical field with excellent academic performance.</li><li>Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data stacks such as Airflow, dbt, Spark/PySpark, Kafka.</li><li>Experience with cloud data platforms, ideally AWS, including Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform and GitOps/ArgoCD.</li><li>Proficiency in version control, testing, monitoring, and observability tools.</li><li>Demonstrated effective use of AI in software and data engineering, preferably with Claude Code or similar agent-based tools, along with experience designing AI pipelines, harnesses, and context engineering.</li><li>Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills, innovative mindset, proactive attitude, and a sense of ownership and responsibility.<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Responsibilities<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Design and operate data pipelines that power our ifap DataServices, transforming curated reference data into reliable datasets for SaaS products and partners.</li><li>Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT workflows using Python, FastAPI services, and Apache Spark/Scala workloads, ensuring data quality, lineage, and cost optimization.</li><li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, AI engineers, and architects to develop data products that support AI-native features and integrations.</li><li>Leverage AI tools such as Claude Code and AI-Agents to accelerate pipeline development, schema migrations, and data analysis processes.</li><li>Develop reusable data engineering skills and workflows to enhance team productivity and consistency.</li><li>Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring solutions to ensure high reliability and maintainability of data services.</li><li>Maintain clear ownership of data pipelines and services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and data governance policies.<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Benefits<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>Flexible mobile work options, allowing you to work remotely two days per week.</li><li>Modern and well-equipped workspaces at attractive locations, complemented by regular social events such as summer festivals and holiday parties.</li><li>Support for professional development through our in-house academy and external partnerships.</li><li>Health and wellness initiatives, including access to a fully equipped fitness studio and nutritious daily meals in our company cafeteria.</li><li>Flexible childcare support through our onsite kindergarten at the CGM campus in Koblenz.</li><li>Additional benefits such as corporate discounts, the opportunity for a company bicycle, and pension schemes.<br/><br/></li></ul>Equal Opportunity<br/><br/>We are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
