<div class="show-more-less-html__markup show-more-less-html__markup--clamp-after-5 relative overflow-hidden"> <p><strong>Data Centre Engineer / Datacenter Techniker / Rechenzentrumstechniker</strong></p><p><strong>Location: Zurich, Switzerland</strong></p><p><strong>Salary: 95,000 CHF + overtime</strong></p><p><strong>Employment type: Full time</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>MUST speak German to B2 level</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>This opportunity is with a well-established global technology and connectivity partner delivering infrastructure, cabling, and hardware solutions across data centre and enterprise environments.</p><p>They operate across multiple regions, supporting both hyperscale and enterprise clients, with a strong pipeline of projects and long-term contracts in place.</p><p><br/></p><p>You’ll be joining a team focused on delivering high-quality on-site support across cabling infrastructure, hardware installs, and day-to-day data centre operations.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></p><ul><li>Cabling across fibre and copper including installs, terminations, testing, and fault finding</li><li>Patching and general connectivity work within live data centre environments</li><li>Rack &amp; stack of servers, switches, and associated hardware</li><li>Remote hands support and ticket-based task delivery</li><li>Troubleshooting hardware and basic network issues</li><li>Supporting moves, adds and changes (IMAC work)</li><li>Maintaining documentation and supporting general site standards</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>What You’ll Need</strong></p><ul><li>Experience working within data centres or similar critical environments</li></ul><p>Strong grounding in:</p><ul><li>Fibre and copper cabling</li><li>Testing (OTDR, light source, and general testers)</li><li>Rack &amp; stack / hardware installs</li><li>Comfortable working from ticketing systems and structured processes</li><li>Basic understanding of networking (patching, LAN/WAN environments)</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with ServiceNow or similar systems</li><li>Exposure to structured cabling standards and best practice</li><li>Previous remote hands or client-facing support experience</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>The Reality</strong></p><ul><li>This is a hands-on role within a live data centre environment</li><li>You’ll be balancing cabling, hardware installs, and support work day-to-day</li><li>There is an on-call element and some out-of-hours work required</li></ul><p></p> </div>
