We handle 24/7 monitoring, incident management, patch management, disaster recovery, and we build the automation and tooling that makes software delivery safer and faster for our clients.</p><p><br/></p><strong>The Role</strong><p><br/></p><p>We're looking for a <strong>CloudOps Engineer</strong> to join our Software Operations team. You'll work alongside our Head of Software Operations, operating and evolving well-architected client environments. Your day-to-day is to keep them running smoothly, make changes safely, and improve them over time, handling the customer’s Service Portal as well as internal platforms.</p><p>From time to time, onboarding new customers may involve migration projects where you will collaborate with our Head of Software Operations and Operations Architect to help accelerate cloud adoption, align environments with business outcomes, and put the right operational foundations in place (such as Dockerfiles and Helm charts).</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>This is a remote-first role.</strong> Occasionally, on-site presence may be required — such as team events, workshops, or involvement in customer migration projects, which involves travel to the German-speaking part of Switzerland and about 25% of on-site presence.</p><p><br/></p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong><ul><li>Manage releases, deployments, and operational support for clients' Kubernetes environments</li><li>Work with Terraform, Helm, GitLab CI, and ArgoCD daily</li><li>Respond to incidents and participate in on-call rotations</li><li>Contribute to internal modules, pipelines, and tooling that all clients benefit from</li><li>Interact directly with clients when needed</li><li>Work securely – least privilege, no hardcoded secrets, no unnecessary access, no cowboy operations.</li><li>Support the transition of customer hosting and operations into skyquest’s managed service platform</li><li>Participate in customer migration and onboarding projects, including on-site workshops and coordination when seniors to leverage and expand your technical skills.</li></ul><p><br/></p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong><p><br/></p><p>You have 3+ years of experience in operating Cloud environment, Platform engineering or Site Reliability Engineering, with a Software Engineer background.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Solid Fundamentals</strong></p><ul><li>You understand networking, especially in the Cloud: DNS, TCP/IP, Load Balancers, NAT, Firewalls, Application Gateways, Ingress and Gateway API.</li><li>You’re comfortable with Linux systems and can troubleshoot issues on the system level.</li><li>You have a background in software engineering or have shipped your code to production, preferably written in <strong>Python</strong> or <strong>Go</strong>.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Cloud & Infrastructure</strong></p><ul><li>Hands-on experience with <strong>Azure</strong>, <strong>AWS</strong> or <strong>GCP </strong>in production</li><li>Solid <strong>Terraform</strong> skills: you write clean modules, you understand state management, you don't apply from your laptop to production</li><li>Experience working in regulated or security-conscious environments, such as ISO 27001, FINMA, or similar</li></ul><p><strong>Kubernetes</strong></p><ul><li>Strong experience with <strong>Kubernetes</strong> and <strong>Helm</strong></li><li>Experience with multi-tenant clusters</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>CI/CD</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with <strong>GitLab CI</strong> or other CI systems</li><li>Experience with <strong>ArgoCD</strong> or other CD systems</li><li>You understand deployment pipelines and how to structure them safely</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Way of working</strong></p><ul><li>You operate with discipline: you request only the permissions you need, you use JIT access (PIM or equivalent), you don't leave credentials lying around</li><li>You know when to write a bash script and when to use Python</li><li>You can do a proper code review on Terraform or Helm and catch security issues before they reach production</li><li>You've handled incidents and can talk through your debugging process clearly</li><li>You can communicate technical topics to clients professionally</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Language</strong></p><ul><li>Fluent
