Laboperator GmbH, supported by Xavo, is a trusted leader in laboratory execution and connectivity solutions.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Role Description</strong></p><p>As a Business Analyst at Laboperator, you will play a key role in translating customer needs, scientific workflows, and instrument connectivity requirements into clear functional specifications for our Lab Execution System.</p><p>You will work closely with customers, product management, engineering, sales, and professional services to ensure that laboratory workflows, device integrations, data flows, and system requirements are well understood, documented, and successfully implemented.</p><p>In addition, you will bring a strong pre-sales mindset to the role: you will help identify customer pain points, translate them into compelling solution concepts, and support the sales team in demonstrating the value of Laboperator in complex laboratory environments.</p><p>This role is ideal for someone who combines a strong understanding of laboratory processes with analytical thinking, customer-facing communication skills, and a commercial interest in laboratory digitalization, automation, and SaaS solutions.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Role &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br/></p><ul><li>Gather and analyze business requirements from customers and internal stakeholders to define functional specifications for Laboperator solutions, including device connectivity and integration schemas, workflow mock-ups, and data mapping.</li><li>Collaborate with product management, engineering, and services teams to ensure requirements for instrument connectivity, software integrations, and data handling are clearly understood and implemented effectively.</li><li>Assist in pre-sales activities, including:</li></ul><p>Preparing and delivering product demonstrations showcasing device connectivity features.</p><p>Supporting proposal creation and responding to RFPs (Request for Proposal) with connectivity- and workflow-related capabilities.</p><p>Providing scientific and functional expertise during sales calls.</p><ul><li>Document workflows and identify opportunities for process optimization through instrument integration.</li><li>Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams during implementation of projects involving device connectivity and workflow development.</li><li>Monitor and report on KPIs related to customer success and solution adoption, including connectivity performance and user adoption.</li><li>Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscapes in laboratory automation and connectivity.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Key challenges of the role:</strong></p><p><br/></p><ul><li>Translating complex scientific workflows and <strong>instrument integration requirements</strong> into clear, actionable specifications.</li><li>Balancing customer expectations with technical feasibility and product roadmap priorities.</li><li>Supporting sales efforts in a competitive market while maintaining credibility and trust.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Qualification &amp; Educational requirements:</strong></p><p><br/></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Informatics, or related field.</li><li>3+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in laboratory informatics or SaaS.</li><li>Familiarity with laboratory workflows, instrument connectivity standards (e.g., SiLA, OPC UA), and regulatory compliance (e.g., GxP, FAIR principles).</li><li>Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.</li><li><span>Experience in pre-sales or customer-facing technical roles is a plus.</span></li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Preferred Skills:</strong></p><p><br/></p><ul><li>Ability to quickly understand complex scientific and technical concepts, including device integration protocols.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent presentation and negotiation abilities.</li><li>Experience with Agile methodologies and SaaS platforms.</li><li>Empathy for customer needs and attention to detail.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>What we Offer:</strong></p><p><br/></p><ul><li>Flexible working models (remote / hybrid)</li><li>Flat hierarchies and fast decision‑making</li><li>A high‑impact, innovative product with real customer value</li><li>The opportunity to grow with the company and take on early responsibility</li><li>An evolving benefits package – we are currently reviewing and expanding our benefits scheme and will </li></ul><p> be rolling out an updated offering in the near future</p><ul><li>An international, multicultural working environment, collaborating daily with colleagues, customers, and </li></ul><p> partners across different countries, cultures, and languages</p><ul><li>A pragmatic, hands‑on work culture focused on outcomes, ownership, and collaboration rather than </li></ul><p> rigid processes</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p> </div>
