Our product consists of fully autonomous smart microphones that stream audio from the field, various AI models that decode animal vocalizations, and a web application that visualizes the results. The goal is to make nature more measurable. We have active projects on four different continents.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Your Role</strong></p><p><span>You'll build machine learning systems to reveal what the animal world is telling us. As an AI Engineer at Synature, you'll own models from idea to production - adapting and developing architectures to accurately decode animal vocalizations. The problems usually have no closed-form solution, and creative approaches are welcome. The work spans both ends of the spectrum: from research and architecture design to deploying and maintaining models in production. </span></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Your Profile</strong></p><p><span>We are looking for candidates with 3+ years of industry or full-time research experience building high-functioning, robust AI systems. The candidate will be able to adapt quickly to new environments and technologies. Some specific things we are looking for:</span></p><ul><li><span>BSc or MSc Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline</span></li><li><span>Strong foundations in ML, statistics, and stochastics, with the ability to read AI research papers, design and implement algorithms, and integrate them into production systems</span></li><li><span>Hands-on experience across the full ML lifecycle: data sourcing, modeling, testing, deployment, and monitoring</span></li><li><span>Proficient in Python. Experience with SQL and an understanding of lower-level languages is a plus</span></li><li><span>Prior experience with time-series signal processing is a plus</span></li><li><span>Comfortable with startup pace</span></li><li><span>Collaborative team player with a strong sense of ownership</span></li><li><span>Fluent in English (German is an additional bonus)</span></li><li><span>Valid Swiss work permit </span></li></ul><p><span>If you're talented and driven but don't meet every technical requirement, we still want to hear from you.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Your Team</strong></p><p><span>You'll work closely with Gabriel Prélaz (Head of AI) and Noah Schmid (CTO), and interact regularly with Tim Gardner, co-founder of Neuralink and Innovation Catalyst at Synature.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Apply</strong></p><ul><li><span>Please complete this form to apply: </span>https://forms.gle/vGLbAc9MLX72PaYZ7<span>.
