We build new products, run fast experiments, and prove what is possible.

Join us on the zero-to-one journey and shape the future of commerce as part of a strategic moonshot at Shopware. You will drive ideas from inception to production.

We are looking for an AI Native Applied Engineer with strong full-stack capabilities and a frontend focus to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design and build modern, AI-powered product experiences while working across the entire technology stack. On the frontend, you should have solid experience building scalable interfaces using Vue.js, Next.js, JavaScript, or TypeScript, with a strong focus on performance, usability, and maintainable architecture. On the backend, you should be comfortable developing services and APIs using Python or PHP or Golang, and collaborating closely with product, design, and AI teams to integrate intelligent features into real-world applications. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-moving environment, building high-quality user experiences, and leveraging AI technologies to deliver impactful product capabilities.

This position can be filled on-site, hybrid, or full-remote within Germany or specific European countries where we are registered. Push the edge of what is possible with the latest in AI, often without documentation or playbooks.

End-to-end ownership: responsibility for your bets from idea to production.

Ship fast: You can just ship things, both because you have the permission to and because you are comfortable iterating in public.

Own the full stack: Work across frontend, backend, and AI infrastructure to ship complete merchant-facing capabilities.

Experiment with everything: Test new models, agentic techniques, and architectural patterns weekly; share learnings with the team.

Make AI reliable: Build robust systems with graceful degradation, monitoring, and human-in-the-loop fallbacks.

Optimize for cost and latency: Balance model capabilities with real-world constraints of production commerce systems.

This is what you’ll bring to the table:

None of these is a hard requirement. Most important is a desire to continuously learn and live on the bleeding edge of AI developments.
