Across every engagement, we prioritize honesty, clarity, and a genuinely enjoyable working relationship.<br/><br/><strong>About The Job<br/><br/></strong>As an Analytics Engineer at Gemma, you play a critical role in helping our clients generate meaningful business value from their existing data. You transform raw information into clear, reliable insights by identifying patterns, uncovering opportunities, and enabling data-driven decision-making. By collaborating closely with clients, you help translate real-world challenges into practical, well-designed analytical solutions. During your first months, you will be supported by experienced team members to ensure a smooth onboarding and strong technical foundation.<br/><br/>You will work on complex, high-impact analytical problems across a diverse range of startups and SMEs, contributing directly to their ability to make informed, strategic decisions.<br/><br/><strong>Responsibilities:<br/><br/></strong><ul><li>As we are tooling-agnostic, you will touch multiple technologies and understand the in’s &amp; out’s what is currently possible in the data landscape</li><li>Collaborate and connect with domain experts to solve data obstacles in various industries</li><li>Develop advanced data reporting and visualizations</li><li>Leverage AI tools (e.g., LLM-assisted analytics, AI-augmented workflows) to accelerate delivery for clients and internally</li><li>Apply data modeling methodologies and contribute to a robust data platform for our clients<br/><br/></li></ul><strong>Who You Are<br/><br/></strong>We believe in a good mixture of experience and upside in our team. We are looking for both types of people equally. For this mid-level role, we are looking for people with initial experience, and also with curiosity, openness to learning, and a structured mindset who are enthusiastic to solve numerical riddles while keeping in mind the business context.<br/><br/>Besides that, we are looking for the following:<br/><br/><ul><li>Experience with SQL and relational databases</li><li>Business Fluency (C2 or native) in German and English</li><li>Good understanding of data modeling techniques (e.g. Data Vault or Kimball’s Dimensional Modelling) and data warehousing in general</li><li>Exposure to AI tools in a professional context (e.g., using LLMs to assist with documentation, code, or analysis)</li><li>Curiosity, a growth mindset, and comfort working in ambiguity</li><li>Bonus:</li><ul><li>Experience with one or more programming languages (Python preferred)</li><li>Experience with one or more data visualization tools</li><li>Experience with managing stakeholders and/or clients<br/></li></ul></ul><strong>Gemma Perks<br/><br/></strong>We are located in Berlin, close to Nordbahnhof.
